Episode #3 Connection or Control?

You ready for this podcast?

This one is based on my own inner whispers….my own inner doubts about what women really want in their relationships with themselves.

Do women want connection or control?

In this Western society there is a trend that seems to be more toward control. Something is “wrong” than we should control it. We don’t like the way our head aches before our period (of course) then we should control it and take a pill to make it go away, no need to look under the hood and find out why, no need to slow down and see what creates this each and every month, just control and go, go, go on and do, do, do.

I get it! Symptoms SUCK! Period Migraines, Cramps, Hot flashes, Emotional Rageability etc, these all suck and so we try and control them. We take pills, we control our hormones, we get our insides out.

What we don’t do is try to connect, to listen in and understand WHY these are happening.

We CONTROL rather than CONNECT.

Connection can be harder work in the short term, connection can even mean we have to address things we didn’t want to, to find other ways of being and doing. Connection means we may not only have to look at the physical but at our life structure, our mind set, our stories, maybe our nutrition, our general way of being and we might have to do the work to change. In the end when doing this deep dive work of connection we come out new and better.

So over to you….are you up for connection or down with the control?
